Filipe Abreu
Filipe Manuel Abreu, completed his undergraduate degree in Painting from the Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa in 1996 and Master’s degree in Drawing from the same institution in 2016. He is son of Professor Luís Filipe de Abreu. Since 1994 Filipe Abreu has been exhibiting individually and collectively in several exhibitions with drawing, engraving and mainly painting, namely in the galleries S. Francisco, Galveias, Casino Estoril, Magia-Imagem, Teoartis and CNAP, in several cities and towns such as Lisbon, Évora, Montemor-o-Novo, Portel, S. Pedro do Sul, Estoril and Sintra. Between 1997 and 2017 he taught Visual Arts. Since 2017, he has been a guest assistant professor at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, teaching different curricular components in the area of Drawing to different degrees, as well as the curricular component of Didactics of Drawing in the Masters in Drawing, Teaching Visual Arts, Artistic Education, Museology and Painting. He has participated in conferences with articles and poster reflecting on his research on the graphic work, conceptualization and operational means of Luís Filipe de Abreu.
