Martinho Costa

Martinho Costa, 1977, lives and Works in Lisbon. Graduated in Fine Art from the University of Lisbon and Masters in Teoría y Prática de Las Artes Contemporáneas (Theory an Practise of Contemporary Arts) from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Shows regularly in solo and group shows since 2000. Mainly: Variations Portuguaises, Centre Meymac, in France, 2018; Project Room Art fair in Santander, Spain, 2017; Res Publica, 1910 e 2010 Face a Face, in Calouste Gulbenkian foundation in Lisboa, 2010; From the solo shows: in 2016 Folding Screen in Da2, Salamanca, Spain; in 2018 Gradient Tool, in Museum Soares dos Reis, Oporto and in 2017; Layer 0 at Galeria 111 in Lisbon; Terra de Sombra Queimada in Galeria Silvestre, Madrid. He is also the author of the project: Pinturas ao Ar Livre (Open Air Paintings) documented in the blog: pinturasarlivre.blogspot.com and also the ongoing series of artist edition books: Livro de Pinturas (Book of Paintings) edited by the Stolen Books publisher from Lisbon.
