Eduardo Barrento

Eduardo Barrento, 1968, Torres Novas Caçador de Luz. Degree in Painting from the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, where he discovered a new passion: Photography. For the past 30 years, he has been photographing Portugal's nature, especially wildlife. He worked as a photojournalist, in sports, but soon returned to his old passions: the countryside and animals. Currently he also photographs human animals in the studio. He gives conferences, workshops and exhibits in Portugal and abroad, having published his work in various national and international media, such as for the magazine National Geographic Portugal. AWARDS 2017: 1st Prize and Cover for the month of March of Wild Planet Magazine, Ayrshire, Scotland. 2016: 1st Prize and Nature Photographer of the Year, CinclusFest, Vouzela. 2008: 1st Prize, Visão/BES Photojournalism, Nature category.
